Only an admin-level user can change the code. (Users and guests cannot change the passcode.) The admin will want to change the passcode if he or she forgets the current code or decides that resetting it is prudent in the interest of security. The admin does not need to enter the current code to reset the passcode. (Refer to page 24 of the Sphere Alarm System Operating Guide to see the app screens.) From the Advanced Settings screen, touch “Reset the System Code (used with your Keypad).” Type in a new 4-digit passcode. Type it again and touch Confirm. Make sure to share the new code with trusted users and guests. Otherwise, they will find themselves locked out of the alarm system if they try to enter the old passcode.
